		<description>Actually, I think Shapiro decided last year that the Indians weren&#039;t going to win this year (or next), and that&#039;s why he dealt Lee and Victor, among others. I think he has a duty to put a semi-competitive team on the field and he&#039;s also got a duty to see what talent we have in our own system. The two may conflict, and when they do I think whichever decision he feels helps &quot;the bigger picture&quot; is what Shapiro will choose.

As for Wang, I think there&#039;s a reason the Yankees decided to non-tender him. He&#039;s probably still hurt and seeing as we aren&#039;t trying to contend this year, why waste the money on what will be a few month rental? Plus, Wang really isn&#039;t that great. He&#039;s had gaudy win numbers but c&#039;mon, he&#039;s been on the Yankees. He&#039;ll get more money elsewhere.
