Yes, Sowers was drafted under Shapiro’s watch. But it’s not like Shapiro has complete and total control over who the team drafts. It’s by committee, and lots of people have a say in who gets drafted.

That being said, the Indians draft record has been atrocious, especially in the first round. I’ve been meaning to devote a post to it but it’s a subject that has just been beaten to death so I’ve been staying away from it.

Lol, I’ve been calling them the Lefty Troika from Hell since the start of last year. Quite proud of that.
