Contributing Writer Wanted for Deep Left Field

facebooktwitterreddit

With the Indians still being on their All-Star break, with no real Tribe news to report, and with me not having enough time to do a proper mid-season breakdown today, I thought today would be a good day to announce on the site that we are looking for a contributing writer for Deep Left Field. While we’ve been looking for about a month now, I’ve held off on doing a help wanted post.

Anyways, as this blog continues to grow, I’ve come to realize a couple of things. 1) I simply cannot cover everything Cleveland Indians related by myself and 2) it might be a good idea to get a fresh voice or new opinion of the Tribe on DLF.

So are you interested in having your opinion heard and becoming a part of the excellent Fansided network? Here’s what I want you to do:

  • Write a 500-1500 word article about the Cleveland Indians. It can be of any Tribe-related topic you chose, but please only send me your best work and stick to the word count (I will check). Please make sure it is fully edited and ready to go. Assume I’d be using your article as an actual post.
  • E-mail your article (in pdf format or at least cut and pasted into the body of an email) to Fansided’s MLB Director Wally Fish at thebaseballfish@fansided.com and to myself at edcarroll34@gmail.com.  Please put “Deep Left Field Contributor Article” in the subject line.
  • I’m pretty much against censorship but I try and keep this blog relatively clean. Please, no blatant profanity.

Contributing writers are expected to make one (1) post a week, but are heartily encouraged to write more if their schedule allows for it. Any questions, feel free to contact me at edcarroll34@gmail.com.
