Great job Tribe! We needed to clear up the roster space so the kids can develop. Only thing that could stop us now are career threatening injuries to our young core players. But unless a fluke injury happens, like for instance Carlos Santana being run over Ray Fosse style and blowing out his knee, I think we're safe!

Ok I know too soon. But seriously...terrible luck. Was really hoping to see these kids throw the record out the window and play the next 2 months and maybe start something. I was also hoping Santana would play the role of the kiddie ring-leader. I have an extremely pessimistic opinion on how this knee injury will play out. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts Ed.

This is it for Dolan/Shapiro/Antonetti. Time to see if the kids they traded away all our proven talent for are worth anything. This team needs to be legitimate contenders come 2012. Tom Hamilton said it perfectly tonight (and I'm paraphrashing): This team is like the teams of the early 90's. Get the young kids some experience and then add the experienced veteran pieces (ala Hershiser, El Presidente, and Eddie Murray) to fill the rest out. We're about to find out if the Indians are going to be the Rays/Twins or the Orioles/Athletics.
