Big leaguers can hit 100 mph fastballs, we will see if he can counter the adjustments with some of his own. Also, coming off an injury, he may just be a little rusty. With the right coaching (he won't need much), he definitely has the stuff to be good in this league for a long time, barring serious injury. The thing is, if Gomez would have started since April, he would be the #1 candidate for AL ROTY. After 5 games, he has a better record and ERA than Stephen Strasburg, although he obviously won't come close to Strasburg's K total.
