Thanks for your comment. I (obviously) disagree that Marte will never hit, although I'm starting to believe it will never happen in Cleveland. Nix would be my second choice, although I'm not sure his defense will ever come around.

I think everyone outside of the Indians organization thinks Masterson should be in the pen. Hopefully either he clicks and gets it or the Indians give up before he is ruined.

Brantley batting leadoff is probably a minor concern, as it's a lot of speculation on my part. Still, the Indians shouldn't be taking risks with a player they are hoping to be a major contributor in years ahead. There's no reason to do so, and I don't think his batting 7/8/9th in the lineup would damage his confidence too much, as long as he was starting. And he might be hitting better, which would breed confidence. Still Acta seems to be hell-bent on batting Brantley leadoff, and that's the one I see to be the least likely to change.

Thanks for reading.

I agree with 2 out of 3. Definitely pick a 3rd baseman, but I think it should be Nix. If he gets consistent play at 3rd hd defense may improve significantly. Enough with Marte already. He will NEVER hit. Masterson in the pen? Today! Right now! PLEASE!!!
My disagreement? Brantley should continue to bat leadoff. Right now he's hitting very well from that spot. If he continues, it will be a huge confidence booster. If you bat him in the 7/8/9 spot, he still won't have the confodence that he can hit leadoff and will still have to go through that at some point.
