Indians 25 Man Roster is Set

The season is less than two days away and the roster has finally been trimmed to 25 players. Many players went to spring training, but only 25 will hold the honor of being on the opening day roster. The roster is as follows:

Starting Pitchers: Fausto Carmona, Carlos Carrasco, Justin Masterson, Josh Tomlin, and Mitch Talbot

Bullpen: Chad Durbin, Justin Germano, Frank Herrmann, Rafael Perez, Vinnie Pestano, Tony Sipp, and Chris Perez.

Infield: Matt LaPorta, Orlando Cabrera, Asdrubal Cabrera, Jack Hannahan, and Adam Everett. When Jason Donald returns, Adam Everett will likely be the first one to be sent down.

Outfield: Austin Kearns, Michael Brantley, Shin-Soo Choo, Shelley Duncan, and Travis Buck. Notice that Grady is currently not on the active roster as he is injured. Once he is back on the team either Duncan or Buck will be headed to Columbus.

Catchers: Carlos Santana and Lou Marson. Lou could see extended playing time with the possibility of Santana playing some games at first base. He had a rough 2010 season, but he is still young and will look to improve in his sophomore season.

DH: The one and only Travis Hafner. Hafner has been inconsistent for the last few years but is looking great in 2011. During spring training he hit over . 300 with one home run. The fact that he only hit 1 home run scares me a little, but he should send a few balls into Pronkville this season.
