Fantasy Baseball Update

The Indians are off today, which is a good thing because of the awful weather here in Cleveland. Monday is also the first day of the new week in fantasy baseball. I am in a league on mlb.com and I am going to do a weekly article on how my team, Cleveland Choo17, does each week. Feel free to leave comments with your opinions on my team or to offer advice.

In week 1 my team scored 127 points to gain a win in week 1.

C-Carlos Santana 15 points

1B- Albert Pujols 7 points

2B- Kelly Johnson 4 points

3B- Pablo Sandoval 10 points

SS- Asdrubal Cabrera 8 points

OF- Ichiro Suzuki 16 points

OF- Matt Kemp 22 points

OF- Shin-Soo Choo 4 points

Utility- Angel Pagan 10 points

P- LA Dodgers 31 points

Both Choo and Pujols were top picks for me during the draft. They disappointed in week 1 going a combined 3-25 at the plate. Both Matt Kemp and Ichiro carried the scoring load going a combined 10-24 with 5 RBI’s.

For week 2 I took Yankees catcher Russell Martin, who had 17 points in week 1, and put him in Angel Pagan’s spot. Playing everyday should help Martin’s numbers.
