Want to Buy Jose Reyes’ Hair?

Are you an eccentric billionaire looking for a unique way to give money to charity? A Marlins fan who’s overly excited about Miami’s new shortstop, or a Mets fan who misses your former face of the franchise just a little too much?

You’re in luck! After a televised trip to the barber last week, Jose Reyes donated his hair to the Make-a-Wish Foundation. Rather than using his trademark dreadlocks to make a wig (like Locks of Love), Make-a-Wish is selling his hair on eBay.

With two days left in the auction, the bidding is up to $5,910.66 (it started at $2,500). Forty bids have been made, with 17 different people vying for a unique souvenir. And that’s just for now—everyone knows the real action in eBay auctions happens in the last few minutes.

It’s for a good cause, but you’d better be sure you want it because the listing clearly says “No returns or exchanges.” But hey, at least there’s free shipping.
