<description>No to A.J. Burnett for Travis Hafner + salary relief.

I view Hafner as a vital part of the Indians offense in 2012. The middle of the order bat that if he can get to the plate with more opportunity with runners on-base will have better dummy stats.

Good news...Hafner&#039;s 2011 injuries were not caused by the shoulder flaring up!

Would Burnett of been a better choice for the Indians prior to adding 5 mil for Derek Lowe?

Aren&#039;t the Pirates just trying to do the Derek Lowe trade on the scope of 2 years rather than the Indians 1 year?

I can see 2 non-roster minor leaguers going to N.Y. with Burnett going to Pitt and at most 11 mil being paid by Pitt.

Question for you:

A.J. Burnett

Jeff Niemann

Wade Davis

Wandy Rodriguez

Brett Meyers

Which guy would you target? How much salary would you take on (Burnett/Meyers/Rodriguez) and what prospects would you give up?
