Details:
The 63rd overall pick in the 2009 draft, Jason Kipnis first reached the majors as a second baseman in 2011. He has been spectacular on defense and above average on offense ever since.
In Wednesday’s game, Kipnis continued his torrid comeback from an early-season slump with a spectacular performance that raised his slash line to .236/.303/.476 on the year. He ripped his 6th home run and knocked in his 20th RBI, crossing the plate 3 times in the process. As usual, his defense was flawless. Kipnis is a big part of the Tribe’s future. If he keeps coming back at this rate, he may even make the all-star team.
