Details:

Michael Brantley came to the Indians as the Player to be Named Later in the C.C. Sabathia trade, and with Matt LaPorta being such a huge disappointment, he has been the only positive return on the trade that sent our beloved 2007 Cy Young Award Winner to the New York Yankees. And in the past two years, he has been a wonderful bright spot. He has gained a reputation at the plate that has made pitchers begin to fear him.

On Tuesday, Brantley drove in the Tribe’s only two runs with an RBI single in the second inning. He also made a great throw later in the game to get Freddy Galvis out at second base. Hopefully Michael Brantley’s extension talks will continue after the season is over, and we will see him with the Indians’ ballclub for many years to come.
