Details:

Mark Reynolds is proving himself to have been an absolute steal for the Tribe this offseason. He has nearly already earned his six million dollars for the year, slugging 12 homers and driving in 37 RBIs in just over a quarter of the season. He spent the early years of his career with the Diamondbacks, proving himself to be a nasty home run threat as well as the strikeout king, breaking the previous record for most K’s in a single season… 3 times. Although he still strikes out more than the average player, he seems to have cut back on the swings and misses and is putting the ball in play more consistently these days.

On Saturday, Mark Reynolds busted out of a small slump in a big way. He drove in a run in three different at bats, including his 12th dinger and a walk-off fielder’s choice grounder to shortstop. If Reynolds continues to produce for the Indians in this fashion, it will make a big case for a lucrative contract in his future. I, for one, hope that this is with the Tribe.
