Bernie Pleskoff Praises Tyler Naquin

One of the many questions Indians fans are asking right now is when can they expect to see Tyler Naquin make an impact at the big league level? Drafted 15th overall in the 2012 Amateur Draft, fans are anxious to see Naquin on the big league roster. This anxiousness has gotten even worse thanks to the impact that other young prospects have had, i.e. Manny Machado, Mike Trout, and Bryce Harper.

However, the expectations for Tyler Naquin need to be tempered a bit. Those are once in a generation talents. Naquin, meanwhile, was a bit of an over draft in an attempt to better distribute available draft money. It is going to take Naquin time to get to the big leagues and maybe even longer before he is making a true impact. That’s not exactly the news Tribe fans want to hear.

However, there is some good news to report. In a video recently posted on MLB.com, Bernie Pleskoff of MLBPipeline.com had nothing but good things to say about Tyler Naquin. His strong arm in center, plate discipline, and ability to hit the ball to all fields are all seen as valuable assets as he moves through the Indians’ system. In the Arizona Fall League, he currently is sixth in batting average at .353, third in RBI with 17, first in runs scored with 20, and top 15 to 20 in several other stats. Needless to say, he’s looking good. You can watch the video below or click here to go directly to MLB.com. (refresh if video player fails to load)
