Team Leaders Discuss Recent Roster Moves

Over the past couple of days the Cleveland Indians have made a series of moves to help finalize their Opening Day roster. These moves included naming Elliot Johnson and Vinnie Pestano to the roster, cutting Jeff Francoeur and Matt Carson, and eliminating Aaron Harang from the competition for the final spot in the starting rotation.

In the wake of these moves, Indians.com has posted two videos featuring Chris Antonetti and Terry Francona explaining the rationale behind these moves as well as where they stand on building the rest of the roster. The Indians still have a few additional cuts to make and several of them are sure to be dictated by the health of certain players. In the coming days, we should see more players eliminated from camp and move explanations from Antonetti and Francona on why they’ve done what they’ve done.

In the meantime, we’ve posted both videos below. Feel free to watch them at your leisure. If they fail to load, please refresh the webpage and they should reload after.
