Murphy & Chisehnall With 5-Hits Each As Tribe Defeats Blue Jays 15-4

David Murhpy and Lonnie Chisenahll each had five hits in last night’s 15-4 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays.

According to Jordan Bastian of MLB.com this marks the first time two or more batters had five hits in a game for the Indians since July 10, 1932. That game was 18-innings and Johnny Burnett went 9-for-11 to lead three Tribe hitters with five or more hits.

The last time the Indians had two hitters with five or more hits in the same 9-inning game was Johnny Hodapp and Luke Sewell in a 24-6 win over the Yankees on July 29, 1928.
