Kyle Crockett Returns, Indians Demote Nick Hagadone

Kyle Crockett Replaces Nick Hagadone In Indians Bullpen

The Cleveland Indians have swapped left handed relievers in their bullpen sending Nick Hagadone to their Triple-A affiliate Columbus Clippers and recalling Kyle Crockett.

Hagadone was added to the 25-man roster on June 2nd to replace Mark Lowe. He appeared in five games working 2.1 innings allowing two runs on four hits striking out four and walking two.

He entered Thursday nights game against the Boston Red Sox with the Tribe trailing 3-2. The Red Sox had a runner on 3rd with 2-out and he walked Jackie Bradley Jr. who stole second and came in to score on a 2-RBI double by Brock Holt which gave the Sox a 5-2 lead.

This will be Crockett’s second stint with the Indians appearing in three games from May 16 through May 22nd working 4.1 innings allowing one earned run on two hits striking out one and walking three.

The Indians will send Justin Masterson (4-4, 4.61 ERA) to the mound to take on the Boston Red Sox who counter with John Lackey (7-4, 3.18 ERA).

The Indians will be giving Nick Swisher the night off as they slowly ramp him back into action and Carlos Santana has been dropped to the eight spot.
