Indians and Angels Washed Out on Wednesday Night in Cleveland

Most of you may already be aware of this by now, but Wednesday night’s game against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim has been postponed due to rain. Indians’ right-hander Justin Masterson and Angels left-hander C.J. Wilson, who were set to start tonight, will start on Thursday afternoon at Progressive Field to finish off the series. Thursday’s game is set to begin at 12:05 PM. Find Indians vs. LA Angels tickets here.

Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reported that the two clubs have mutual off-days on July 28, August 14, and September 8, allowing for a potential make-up date down the road.

The Indians had won 10 straight home games prior to losing on Tuesday  9-3 at the hands of the Halos. With Thursday’s game being the, now, three-game series clincher, the Indians will hope to extend their winning ways at Progressive Field, where the team is 7-3-0 in 10 home series, including winning six of their last seven series.
The Tigers will be coming into Cleveland on Friday for a big, promotion-filled weekend, having gone 5-11 in June and having lost 18 of their last 27 games to fall to second place behind the Kansas City Royals, who have won 10 games in a row. With the Indians at .500 and just 3.5 games out of first place, this will be another test against a better-than-average offensive club for the Tribe.
