The Cleveland Indians have made a couple expected roster moves today, recalling starting pitcher Danny Salazar and optioning outfielder Tyler Holt to Columbus.

Danny Salazar has had an up and down year for the Indians with a 4.88 ERA and 4.20 FIP.  He’s been better recently and was great in his most recent AAA stint, going 7 innings allowing just 1 run and 5 hits while striking out 9 and walking none in his lone start.  Salazar will make the start this afternoon as the Indians go for a series sweep of the Baltimore Orioles

Tyler Holt meanwhile made the most of his recent stint in Cleveland hitting .385 with an .813 OPS in 5 games.  He saw time at all three outfield spots as well.  Holt will return to Columbus where he’s had a great year batting .311 with an .826 OPS.  He should see Cleveland again this year once rosters expand in September.
