On March 17, FOX News Channel’s Anna Kooiman stopped off at Cleveland Indians’ spring training as part of her “Road Trip” segment.

bucket list-worthy things to do while driving across America, landed Kooiman in Goodyear with Terry Francona and Mike Aviles at Tribe camp.

Kooiman spent some time in the batter’s box working on hitting with Mike Aviles, where he taught her about the rhythm behind hitting in the major leagues. Comically, she pointed out that all his movement at the plate felt more like dancing than hitting to which Aviles replied, “Perfect! That’s what hitting is, you wanna dance.”

After the lesson, Kooiman stepped into the box against Tribe pitching coach Mickey Callaway. After getting blown away by a couple heaters, Kooiman slammed a slowed-down version into the gap.

The 4-minute video is definitely worth watching, as it showcases some of the personality around Indians’ camp that makes this team so fun to watch – and successful. Hugs all around.
