Clevelinks: Cleveland Indians Routed by Twins, House Roughed Up in Loss

The Cleveland Indians rotation will eventually shape up and be a strength of this team, but right now T.J. House is the weakest link. Hoping to bounce back from a rough outing in his previous start, he did anything but. House surrendered five runs on sevens, walking two and striking out two. The offense again failed to generate much, with a Michael Brantley RBI single and a late solo home run from Carlos Santana all they could muster.

MLB.com wants the fans to help decide the Franchise Four, the best of the best from all 30 teams as well as the four greatest Negro League Players, pioneers of the game and the greatest living players. This is a chance to help name the greatest Cleveland Indians in their history, They’ve selected eight from each team, with the Indians named being Earl Averill, Lou Boudreau, Larry Doby, Bob Feller,Nap Lajoie, Tris Speaker, Jim Thome and Omar Vizquel.

Tempers continue to flare in the Kansas City/Oakland series, as several players were ejected after the series has boiled over with bad blood. The saga started when Brett Lawrie slid hard into second to break up a double play on Friday, injuring the Royals Alcides Escobar. Scott Kazmir then hit Lorenzo Cain in the foot, which prompted warnings. From there, things only escalated, and the league will certainly be looking into further punishment for some of those involved.
