Clevelinks: Cleveland Indians Drop Another; Kluber Remains Winless

Tribe fall again, Kluber still winless

If it wasn’t for bad luck, the Cleveland Indians’

Corey Kluber

would have none at all. Admittedly, Kluber hasn’t been as sharp as he was last season–but even if he was, he’d have to be lights out with this struggling offense.

Mike Aviles

provided the only offense with a two-run home run, scoring

Jason Kipnis

. The defense wasn’t much help either, as they committed three of them on the day.

The Orioles game against the White Sox was postponed due to safety concerns as protests continue around the Camden Yards area. Commissioner Rob Manfred was in Baltimore, and hasn’t ruled out the possibility of playing games at Nationals park should things continue. Protests are in regards to a young black man who died in police custody.

In this week’s “Who’s hot, who’s not”, there aren’t as many bright spots for the Indians right now–but if you look hard you can find a few. Michael Brantley is rounding into form following back stiffness, and Danny Salazar has been sharp since being recalled. But for all the good, there’s more bad. T.J. house has yet to show why he won a spot in the rotation, and Michael Bourn has been dropped to the ninth spot in the order following his struggles.
