Who wants to pitch? Raise your hand

This was just one of those games for the

Cleveland Indians

that you put behind you and move forward. Anytime you have TWO position players making their second career appearance pitching you know it’s just not your night. The Chicago Cubs answered the Indians 6-0 shutout in Chicago with a 17-0 one of their own in Cleveland. But the score aside, it’s still just one loss, although it felt like two and a half while watching it.

Shaun Marcum just didn’t have it, but the defensive play of the Indians didn’t help the final tally set forth by the Cubs. An error on an easy pop-up in the ninth by Francisco Lindor led to the seven-run outburst, and although not an error, a playable ball for Carlos Santana on Kyle Schwarber‘s triple that started the scoring that ended this game well before it began.

The Wahoo’s on the Mic podcast returns, and there was plenty to talk about. We took a look at the Indians draft, talked about the arrival of top prospect Lindor and more. If you haven’t been listening, make sure you start tuning in to the best Indians podcast available!

On a positive note, the Tigers lost which is always good to see. With rumors of Johnny Cueto to Detroit beginning to swirl, the Reds dealt a crushing blow with a walk-off grand slam from Todd Frazier for the 8-4 win. The Twins were the only AL winner in the interleague play between the two central divisions.
