The Cleveland Indians are campaigning for Bob Feller; Jason Kipnis needs a position change?

The Cleveland Indians have had an All-Star second baseman two of the last three years in Jason Kipnis. But while Kipnis has been solid at the plate, his defense has left something to be desired. The ability to turn double plays–or inability, in this case–essentially gives the opposition extra outs. This not so stunning news prompted out Jeff Mount to ask if a move to the outfield would be the best for Kip.

The Indians have started a campaign for the late Bob Feller to be awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom. The Indians winningest pitcher and Navy veteran was the first baseball player to enlist after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. His career total of 266 is the Indians best, and he may have finished with 300 if not for his time in the Navy. But Feller always maintained he was more proud of his time in the Navy than any baseball accomplishment.

ICYMI: Our Matt Bretz has been talking about the Indians’ need to upgrade at third base over the last few days. Juan Uribe‘s name continues to come up often, but there are other options for the Tribe to pursue should they feel it’s a move that they want to make. With all the talk of the outfield, is third where the Indians need an offensive boost?
