Spring Training brings renewed hope for the Cleveland Indians, but along with that comes many questions. The bullpen will be one of those. No. 2 in the AL last season, several spots have opened up with many arms available to fill them.

As is typical with Spring Training, the

Cleveland Indians

will invite players to camp–like

— that might make you say “how do these guys still have jobs?” It’s something that happens all across baseball. With so many young players waiting to take their turn but lacking the experience, veterans whose better days have passed them by continue to get opportunities. Our Jeff Mount took a look at just a few of these who might make that list.

The Indians’ bullpen will be one of the more intriguing storylines this spring with several openings, and so many possibilities to fill them. The Tribe seeming signed every free agent that could get the ball from the mound to home on minor league deals with an invite to camp. From the No. 2 bullpen in the American Leagues last season, many have moved on–but the core of the Tribe pen remains. Which guys will have a chance to fill in the gaps?

ICYMI: I recently talked about the Indians waiting till after Spring Training to make any relevant additions to this year’s team. More offense is still needed, and many of the invitee’s are role players and platoon guys at best. But often times in the spring you’ll see a guy who has maybe turned the corner, but the club has no room for him. That could be a good time for the Indians to swoop in and pick him up.
