Taking a look at the news surrounding the Cleveland Indians and the rest of the MLB on the morning of September 9, 2016.

The Cleveland Indians were the beneficiary of a crazy call during Thursday afternoon’s game, finishing the day with a 10-7 win to split the four-game series with the Houston Astros.

The crazy call came when a pitch deflected off the dirt, into Lonnie Chisenhall’s bat and off toward the dugout. It was then ruled a wild pitch, allowing two Indians runners to score.

It was an absurd play, but the amount of scoring in the game seemed to allow fans to move on from assuming the play had too much to do with the final outcome.

The Indians now head to Minnesota with a six-game lead over the Detroit Tigers. While we await first pitch, let’s take a look at the news surrounding the Indians and the rest of the MLB in today’s edition of A.M. Wahoo’s.
