Taking a look at the news surrounding the Cleveland Indians and the rest of the MLB on the morning of September 15, 2016.

The Cleveland Indians dropped the magic number to win the division down to 12 after a 6-1 win over the Chicago White Sox Wednesday night.

It was great to see the offense come alive and put up six runs, but it was even better to see Josh Tomlin have a great start. He completed five innings, only allowing one run and four hits. The best part was the zero home runs he allowed, making it his third start this season in which he has not allowed a home run.

The Indians finish the four-game series against the White Sox today at 2:10 p.m. before heading home to take on the Detroit Tigers, who are six games back in the division.

In the meantime, let’s take a look at the news surrounding the Indians and the rest of the MLB in today’s edition of A.M. Wahoo’s.

In fact, that may be an understatement. The Tribe is wrapping up their regular season and will be preparing for a very likely postseason very soon. As they prepare for such events, catcher Yan Gomes is coming back. He will be activated to the roster. The Indians are expected to activate him before Friday’s game versus the Detroit Tigers."

La Russa Questions Sincerity of ‘Disrespectful’ Colin Kaepernick (FanSided)

"When 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick decided to remain seated for the national anthem this preseason, he touched off what’s still the most divisive topic in sports this year. There’s been no shortage of opinions on either side. Jerry Jones weighed in this week, joining musician Kid Rock and model Kate Upton among others. Hall of Fame manager Tony La Russa is the latest to throw his hat in the ring."

Julio Urias Will Transition to the Bullpen (Call to the Pen)

It was the twenty-year-old’s fourteenth start for the Dodgers this season."
