When the Indians promised Lonnie Chisenhall that third base belonged to him this season, they didn’t expect him to have a .213 average or a .253 on-base percentage by the middle of May. Defensive miscues, poor weather and an abnormally rough day for the Indians’ bullpen combined to cause Saturday’s 7-4 loss at Fenway Park. Scott Kazmir pitched better than he had in either of his previous two starts, but it still was not enough to secure a win for the Tribe against the Boston Red Sox. (more…)

The Tribe continued to dominate Cy Young winners and Ubaldo Jimenez earned his third win of the year as the Indians beat the Tigers 7-6. Justin Verlander lasted only five innings and gave up four runs to Cleveland’s primarily left-handed lineup, falling to 4-3 on the season. (more…)
