Masterson & Bullpen Shaky As Indians Fall To Red Sox 8-1

What a difference a day makes. Yesterday the Indians hitters dropped soft fly balls just inside the foul lines and hit line drives that were just out of the reach of the Red Sox defenders as they defeated the Red Sox 12-3. Tonight, the line drives were right at outfielders and hard grounders were easily handled by infielders and the offense unable to string anything together in falling to the Red Sox by a final score of 8-1.

Indians Bounce Back, Dominate Red Sox 12-3

It didn’t take long for the Indians to get back into the swing of things, both literally and figuratively. After losing back to back games and being swept by the Detroit Tigers, the Indians looked to get back on track against a Boston Red Sox team that has surprised some people this season. Well, the only ones surprised last night might have been the Red Sox themselves.

More importantly, with the voctory the Indians successfully avenged their leader Terry Francona. This was his first time back In Boston since he was let go following the end of the 2011 season. For the Red Sox, letting go of Francona may turn out to be more of not knowing what they had until it’s gone. Such a shame.

Indians Swept by Tigers 11-7

Well, it finally happened. The Indians seem to have finally cooled off thanks in large part to their arch rivals from the Motor City. After last night’s game, an 11-7 beat down that was marred by rain delays and was never really as close as the final score indicated, the Indians have lost two in a row for the first time since back to back losses to the Yankees and Phillies.
