It’s a pastime of any wishful thinking baseball fan: what if I had a few billion dollars and could buy my favorite team? What would happen? Well, that’s a great question. The Dolans are far from poor, but the revenue streams the Indians have coming their way are all too minimal. So let’s have some fun, let’s spend some time re-breaking hearts and opening old wounds, let’s imagine the Indians signed a distribution deal with Fox Sports in, say, 2007 for more than what the Dodgers just did. Pirates Throttle Indians, Ubaldo in 9-2 Loss

Ubaldo Jimenez struggled and the Tribe’s bullpen imploded Saturday as the Pirates beat up on the Indians, 9-2, to even the series at a game apiece. The loss drops Cleveland’s record to 33-31 and puts them back to 1.5 games behind the White Sox in the AL Central. An 0-for-3 performance also snapped Michael Brantley‘s hitting streak at 22 games.

The Indians will be back in town tonight, and they’ve brought some guests for the weekend: the Pittsburgh Pirates, with whom they’ll play a three-game weekend series. This is the first time we’ll see the Pirates this year (and last, unless we somehow meet in the World Series), so I got Bucs Dugout‘s Charlie Wilmoth to give his thoughts on Pittsburgh’s playoff surprising start, Andrew McCutchen‘s stardom, and the most terrifying series prediction we’ve ever seen.
