It was reported earlier today that Lonnie Chisenhall has been called up, and is in the lineup tonight. This move is one that needed to happen, as Adam Everett was DFA.

This move completes one half of the roster makeover that I mentioned in a post earlier today, with Adam Everett being let go. The next step would be to let go Austin Kearns, which might happen soon. (more…)

Indians Roster Needs Small Makeover

The Indians are coming off a terrible series is San Francisco. I should rephrase that, the Indians offense and defense are coming off of a terrible series. The pitching was phenomenal, as even Fausto had a good outing.

Just on Sunday, the hitters were struck out a combined 16 times against Madison Bumgarner and Jeremy Affeldt. Bumgarner was coming off of a start against the Twins in which he could only get one out in the first inning before he was taken out of the game. Everyone in the starting lineup, besided Orlando Cabrera, struck out at least once, with Shelley Duncan leading the team with 4. (more…)

Tribe Gets Blanked- More Woes On The Basepaths

The Indians dropped their second in a row to the San Francisco Giants on Saturday afternoon by a score of 1-0. That run, unearned in the seventh as two errors, a walk and a Tony Sipp balk allowed Miguel Tejada to cross the plate was the ultimate demise of the Indians.

It’s tough to believe that Justin Masterson hasn’t won since April 26. Then you look at the run support he has been given and it becomes easily conceivable– just 22 runs during that stretch. Before this latest loss his ERA was 3.18…. And it’s going to go down. (more…)
