So in this edition of the Weekly Wroundtable, we asked our panelists—featuring guest contributors Charlie Adams from Indians Prospect Insider and Nino Colla from The Tribe Daily—to propose a deal the Indians could make and explain why both sides would agree to it. Here’s what we came up with. (more…)

Baseball is a funny game. Over the course of several games, weeks, or even months a pitcher can begin to instill confidence in a fan base. We begin to develop certain expectations and when those expectations are continually met, we’re happy. So happy, in fact, that we tend to forget all about any of the bad that might have preceded it. That is until that one game. That one game where it all hits the fan and we’re reminded of every single flaw in a pitcher’s arsenal. (more…)

The Cleveland Indians dropped to 0-4 to start the 2009 campaign. After a lengthy rain delay, Cleveland fought all the way back to tie the game at 7. However, Toronto batted around in the 8th inning to secure a 13-7 victory over The Tribe.

Alex Rios got on track as most hitters seem to do against Indians pitching so far in this young season. Rios and Adam Lind had 4 RBI each and Marco Scutaro homered for the Jays.

Blame it on a rain delay which didn’t allow the game that started at 4:05 to end after 11:30. Eight runs in 4 2/3 innings is unacceptable from the bullpen.

The 0-4 start is the worrst since 1985. Eric Wedge remains optimistic. I think unless the pitching staff eats their Wheaties, this will be a long year. The Indians got home runs from Travis Hafner, Shin Soo Choo, and Victor Martinez. Seven runs is plenty and should be enough to win a game. Unfortunately, the pitching has been awful and giving up a six run eighth will never help a team win.

Classic pitching matchup at Progressive Field today as 2008 Cy Young winner Cliff Lee does battle against one of the all-time greats of our era, Roy Halladay. First pitch is at 1.
