Guess you could say the beat goes on. The Tribe fell to the Texas Rangers 5-3 Friday night to end August with a 5-24 record, their worst single month of ball since 1914. <strong><a href="http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/j/jimenub01.shtml?utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_campaign=Linker" target="_blank">Ubaldo Jimenez</a></strong> was decent but not good enough against a tough Rangers lineup, and the bats were silenced by <strong><a href="http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/d/dempsry01.shtml?utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_campaign=Linker" target="_blank">Ryan Dempster</a></strong> and the Ranger bullpen.</p>

<p>Thirty-three writers from around the network offered their picks for the best players in each league between June 28 and July 2 (the dates coincided with the end of the fan voting).
