Zach McAllister threw a gem and the Tribe’s bats came out for a ninth-inning comeback Thursday night as Cleveland won a thrilling 5-4 game against the Rangers to wrap up a three-game series in Texas. The win pushes the Indians to the 60-win threshold; at 60-84, they’re tied with the Twins for last place in the AL Central, 17 games behind the first-place White Sox. (more…)

The Indians struggled as they opened a nine-game, ten-day West Coast swing. After taking the first of three from the Los Angeles Angels, they lost the next two of the series. The Oakland Athletics then swept the Tribe in a three-game series. Overall, the Indians were 1-5 in the 20^th week of the season. (more…)

Well, it looks like the Cleveland Indians weren’t able to play the spoiler in the race for the AL West in Anaheim, but there’s still another chance coming up here to screw with the Wild Card. Dropping two of three to the Los Angeles Angels is no big thing because they’re really good with lots of money and good players, but now a new test arises for the Tribe. So they forge ahead, to the Bay Area and the Coliseum, home of the Oakland Athletics, a team that in structure resembles the Indians, or what the Indians should be.
