Ubaldo Jimenez struggled out of the gate and the Tribe’s middle relief corps failed to provide much relief Monday afternoon as the Yankees beat up on the Indians, 11-6, sending Cleveland to a frustrating loss in front of 41,567 fans at the 2013 home opener. (more…)

What a way to end a road trip. The Cleveland Indians’ six-game cruise to start the season came to an end in Tampa with a 13-0 shelling of reigning Cy Young winner David Price and his squad of Rays, essentially proving that when I write praising words about a guy in one of these previews they’ll do the opposite. Due to science, of course. The Tribe sits at a respectable 3-3 coming into the home opener, where it’s time to defend the reservation from encroaching Yankees. (more…)

Just when we thought things couldn’t possibly get any worse, the 2012 Cleveland Indians have gone and lowered the bar for expectations yet again. After losing 11 games in a row and looking completely inept in the process, the Indians now find themselves in the midst of another long losing streak. Entering play tonight it stands at eight games and counting, but buckle up because it’s about to get a whole lot worse before it gets any better. That’s right, it’s time for the Yankees and their traveling caravan of fans to make their annual visit to Progressive Field. (more…)
