Things are finally drying up at Progressive Field, but now that the storm has lifted the Indians have some new opponents for the weekend: the Chicago White Sox. We’ll become intimately familiar with the Pale Hose in good time, but this is our first look at the South Siders this season. So I talked to Southside Showdown Editor James Fegan about the White Sox’ 2013 outlook, Chicago’s offseason moves, and what we Tribe fans can expect from Brett Myers going forward. (more…)

The Chicago White Sox finished three games behind the Detroit Tigers in the AL Central in 2012, which is pretty devastating considering the club was in first place for 126 days and as late as September 25 before losing six of ten games to close out the season. Management and ownership couldn’t have been happier with Robin Ventura after his first season as a manager, especially due to his inability to stay out of the spotlight—something Ozzie Guillen never seemed to be able to do.

So, what’s in store for the Pale Hose in 2013, and what will the Indians need to be prepared for during their 18 meetings? (more…)

The Indians won last night. However, that’s not to say they actually stopped the bleeding. Not even close, but not because Manny Acta didn’t try. We saw a new lineup with a new batting order and an all new approach, but still it was the same old thing. The Indians won, but once again it was a struggle highlighted not by clutch hitting and monster home runs, but rather missed opportunity after missed opportunity. (more…)
