Seems like these two teams just can’t get enough of each other. The Chicago White Sox (13-15) come to Cleveland for a four game set against the Indians (15-11) today, a mere four days after their last face-off. In the interim the Indians hosted the AL West-leading Texas Rangers and their thump-happy lineup, while the Sox cruised to Motown for three against the Tigers. The Indians played a wonderful series and won two of three against Texas (they took it to extras before they lost the other), while the White Sox lost two of three despite keeping it close against the favorites to win the division. Josh Tomlin‘s solid start and some good plate discipline throughout the lineup helped the Indians (12-10) even the series against the White Sox (12-12) and take sole possession of first place in the AL Central with a 6-3 win Wednesday night. (more…)
