Yes, home field advantage is at stake, but there’s more than that. While the All-Star game isn’t as competitive as it was during its early years, there is still a massive amount of pride on the line. For the American League the 2012 All-Star Game is their chance to restore order. This is their chance to put the National League back in its place.
