I’m not saying it’s all their fault, but I don’t have much else to go on. Whatever it is, the Tribe is playing downright terrible right now – the pitching has been solid for the most part, but the offense has just gone off the rails. It’s tough enough to face the Detroit Tigers like that, but now a trip to Texas to face the Rangers looms, and those boys can lower the boom. Who knows, maybe a jaunt to a launching pad is the cure for what ails the Tribe. (more…)

The Tribe was held to just two runs on Tuesday then lit up Cole Hamels like that Christmas Tree your elderly neighbor left up all year. It was 10 runs they scored that game, and it was awesome. While the low-scoring affairs are a bit of a drag, I’ll take these outbursts of stupendous smashingness.

So it’s back to Cleveland to face the Indians greatest foes, the Seattle Mariners. While you might think a division rival or perhaps some powerhouse would properly fit in as the Indians’ greatest foe, remember that Ichiro Suzuki said he’d rather punch himself in the face then go to Cleveland. That’s just rude, and THEN he went back on his word and came to Cleveland. Rude and a flip-flopper? Sounds like a future Yankee. (more…)

Can you call it a series split if you play only two of the games? It’s going to be a stress-filled couple of weeks until we’re able to experience the finale of this week’s Cleveland Indians/Chicago White Sox series, so bate your breath accordingly. The Tribe and the Hose scored 10 runs combined in these two games and despite some walking issues there was some strong pitching and really, outside of some mysteriously poor offensive output against a guy who can’t hit 90 mph and Jason Kipnis not hitting even one home run, it was a relative success. Just have to finish it off later. (more…)
